Biography
Born in 1971 in Lviv, in 1993 graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv State University with a degree in mechanics, qualification of a specialist “mechanic, mathematician-applicator”. In 1999 graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv State University with a degree in “International Economic Relations”, qualification of a specialist “International Economics, translator”.
PhD since 2004. The dissertation was defended at the specialized academic council of the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine. The dissertation addressed the problems of the institutional economy.
The main stages of pedagogical activity in higher educational institutions:
- 01.09.2001 – 01.02.2011 – assistant of the Department of International Economic Analysis and Finance
- 01.02.2011 – presently – Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Analysis and Finance
- September 2019 – teaching “Business Economics” at the 5 Universities Summer School of Finance in Białystok (Poland)
- 1999 – 2007 – work in the Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At that time partner in research project “Extended enterprise management in enlarged Europe”
- 1994-1995 – work in the newspaper “DILO” (as sector redactor).
Lectures and practical classes on disciplines:
- “Microeconomics”, for students of the second year of the faculty of international relations;
- “Basis of the Entrepreneurship” as a discipline of free choice for students of all faculties of the University.
- “Economics of Enterprise” for students of 4th year of the faculty of international relations;
- “Audit” for students of the fourth year of the Faculty of International Relations;
- “Accounting and analysis of foreign economic activity” for students of the 4th year of the faculty of international relations;
- “Financial Analysis” for students of the 4th year of the Faculty of International Relations;
- “International Accounting Standards” for students of educational and qualification level “master” of the faculty of international relations.
Two alternating periods Ihor Hurnyak was the chairman of the Assembly of NGOs of small and medium business in Ukraine.
