Nanterre Network meeting

From 26 to 29 May, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged hosted the 30th Annual Meeting of the Paris–Nanterre Network.
The international colloquium, entitled “Minority Rights and Their Protection in the European Union and Beyond: Achievements and Challenges,” brought together scholars and participants from various countries for a productive academic dialogue on democracy, the rule of law, equality, minority rights, refugee protection, and social inclusion.
Associate Professor Ivan Bratsuk of the Department of European Law and Professor Yuriy Yurkevych of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure delivered presentations entitled “Energy Law in Ukraine: Challenges and Alignment with EU Standards” and “Refugees and Persons in Need of Temporary Protection: Conceptual Foundations and Specific Features of the Legal Regulation of Their Status.”
The issues addressed in the presentations are of particular relevance in the context of Ukraine’s European integration, the improvement of national legislation, and the further development of legal standards.
